Volunteer Positions


Samoa

Volunteer veterinarians are needed to help with surgeries and consultation at the Animal Protection Society’s veterinary clinic in Samoa, and to conduct house calls and village visits.

Volunteers should ideally possess at least two years of experience working with small animals, and be flexible, culturally sensitive and able to work as part of team.

The Animal Protection Society is situated in Apia and is run by dedicated people. You will find the team warm, welcoming and energetic.

Fiji

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (SPCA) Fiji is a registered Charitable Institution that caters to the welfare of animals in Fiji. The SPCA survives through the generous donations of the people of Fiji and the operation of a veterinary clinic in Suva.

The SPCA welcomes the services of volunteer veterinarians who would be interested in coming to Fiji for short periods 3 - 6 weeks and providing their services for the welfare of animals. The services include clinical work, educational and promotional welfare of animals. Volunteers will have the opportunity to travel our beautiful islands as well.

Cook Islands

The Esther Honey Foundation - Providing Veterinary Care for the Companion Animals of the Cook Islands

The Esther Honey Foundation provides the only veterinary clinic and the only veterinarian for the Cook Islands' thousands of companion animals. Since the Foundation established the clinic in 1995, EHF volunteer veterinarians, technologists and interns have travelled to the South Pacific country to treat over 1,000 animals each year at no charge.

The Esther Honey Foundation Animal Clinic is located on the island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. EHF offers two opportunities for veterinarian volunteers. They are:

  1. Resident Doctors Program;

  2. Visiting Doctors Program.
