As the representative profession association of over 80% of veterinarians in New Zealand, the New Zealand Veterinary Association is constantly being asked for its view on various public issues.

Media releases are usually based on the NZVA's policy statements. These statements with explanations and guidelines are the result of consultation and collaboration amongst members of NZVA and any other interested parties with expertise on the subject.
